Atole with Jam Recipe

A comforting beverage for a cold winter's day.  So quick to make and will warm you from the inside out.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk, almond milk, soy or regular
  • 1 to 1 ½ Tbsp. atole (toasted blue corn flour)*
  • 1 Tbsp. jam or jelly*
Instructions
  1. Whisk together the milk and atole. Heat over medium heat, whisking or stirring often.

  2. When the milk starts to get hot, stir in the jam and stir until it dissolves.

  3. Continue to stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let set for a minute or two.
  5. Stir and serve.
