Thank you for your inspiration and lovely recipes. So proud of you and your work through the years! Best wishes for you – self care is important. MJ, I have learned more about cooking New Mexican cuisine in the last 2.5 hours than the whole 2.5 years that I’ve lived here. I wish I had discovered your site before today — or better yet, that you could keep it going. Muchas gracias for so openly sharing your incredible insights. I’ll surely make good use of them in my endeavors to get better and better.

I was raised in the deep south and now am a transplant in NM for 20+ years, so I deeply appreciated fusion recipes of the two cultures. So many have expressed my sentiments more eloquently than I can. I will miss this blog and your warm wit.
I shall miss seeing your recipes, but more importantly your thoughts, musings and stories.
I wish you well. I pray for a healthy you and the hubby. You had me at your picture sipping
coffee, lol. Big Hugs. I hope your Pinterest stays up.
This is such a great blog with fabulous recipes and interesting stories! I love that there is not advertising thus allowing the pages to load easily. Isn’t there someone out there who can make this awesome blog/website into a printed cookbook?
I have enjoyed your blog for years now and have never had one of your recipes turn out anything but wonderful. Thank you for sharing yourself with so many people. Now I need to start printing recipes!
PS- I’m still enjoying the goodies I won from your contest a few years back! You were so generous.

You online site will always be a legacy to Hatch chiles, and all chiles with their varied respective recipes.
I recently found a new Chile, Guntur Sannam, from southern India. What an exotic taste. Amazon only I think.
All the best! Thank you!

As you know, I’ve created my own MJ’s Kitchen cookbook over the years with recipes I’ve tried or want to try. And I use it often. 🙂 Your website has been a blessing to me, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to help test and edit recipes in the very beginning. You’ve taught me things I’ll never forget. Thank you for sharing your gift!! I will make sure I have saved every single nugget of good food wisdom you’ve posted before you close this website!! Love you much!
Your blog has given us all so much pleasure over the years, it is hard knowing that you won’t be sharing your delicious recipes and stories any more. I wish you nothing but happiness and time to enjoy the little things in life that give you pleasure, you certainly do deserve them. Take care, you will be in my thoughts. Hugs, Karen
MJ, I’m so sorry to hear this news. As a lover of all things New Mexico, I most certainly will miss your site. We’re losing a quality blog and blogger. You always presented information and instructions with such perfect detail that even a beginner cook could feel confident. These days, there are so many new and very young bloggers who present themselves as the expert on everything, even if they’ve only been cooking a few short years. We are truly losing an expert in the Southwestern cuisine niche. Which makes me sad. Hugs to you MJ.
MJ! How can you do this to us? I get it though. I’m not sure many realize the undertaking that a blog is. I wish you great sucess in your next endeavor and truly will miss your stories and your food. New Mexican food is one of my absolute favorites. I still plan on meeting you one day on our next adventure to your wonderful state.
I am so sad to see your lovely blog go dark. I have already captured dozens of recipes and hope to go back and read many of your stories that went with them. You are such a dear friend and blog soul sister! I will miss your stories and treasured recipes!
MJ, really sorry to see you’re ending one of my favorite food blogs. Your blog has given me immense pleasure, and one of the delights of my life is that we’ve become (virtual) friends. Good luck and best wishes. — John

Thank you again for all your contributions to the culinary world through MJ’s Kitchen. Best wishes for your future endeavors, and I hope you find success and happiness in whatever comes next.
wishing you all the best for your future. I really appreciate that you have let your readers know as so often, blogs just go kaput and you never know why, so we fear the worst. Hope all is well in your life.
