I used to live in Santa Fe and Albuquerque but have lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 2000. I have convinced a lical grocery store to carry the canned Hatch Green Chili but I don’t get roasted peppers that I enjoyed so much in New Mexico. I would live to get some of your recipes. Do you have a posole recipe?

Douglas, Thanks for your comments!! I know…once you live in NM and eat its chile, you’re addicted and canned chile just doesn’t cut it. šŸ™‚ You might want to check out this link of New Mexico Chile Suppliers. Starting in a couple of weeks you can order fresh picked chile or roasted, peeled, frozen chile. It’s not cheap, but it is available and the flavor will bring you home. šŸ™‚ I do have 3 posole recipes on my website. They aren’t the traditional one with pork, but here is a link to a green chile chicken posole. You can always substitute the chicken with pork. To see the other two posole recipes, type “posole” into the search box and they’ll come up. I have over 200 recipes on this site and probably half of them use NM chile (red or green). So please feel free to search an ingredient or use the recipe index and start cooking. Enjoy!!!
